WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is a normal state of mind. We are all hypnotized a couple of times a day! You go through hypnosis right after you fall asleep and right before you wake up. If you've ever been driving and lost track of time-- you were hypnotized!
Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation with an acute focus.
Everyone can be hypnotized. As long as you want to be hypnotized you will be able to be. We like to say that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You are always in control and so hypnosis cannot make you do anything or say anything you would not want to.
HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?
The subconscious makes up almost 90% of the mind! The subconscious is not logical, it only reacts to learned associations.
These associations begin to be formed at birth. Sometimes a subconscious association can form a lifelong reaction. Despite logic or willpower, you may experience an unwanted behavior that is a reaction to some subconscious association.
During a session we will discuss the issue, explore potential triggers, determine a desired outcome, and then delve into the subconscious to create subconscious suggestions that are in line with our conscious desires.
